Here are the links that I included in my presentation. Remember, these are only jumping-off points!

I created my presentation in Keynote. I converted it to PP and posted it here:

Or, if you prefer, you can access the file at my slideshare page.

Majority of participants have equipment installed
Platforms include PolyVision, Promethean and Smart board.
Using a whiteboard is a conceptually bigger jump than just having a projector in room
Use the board for more than just projection – shift our thinking as teacher to interactive not display
Resources – links on this page –
Polyvision wiki – good place to begin – English Website
showed Nobelprize.org ex) Lord of the Flies as closure activity

When searching for websites on the Internet include English interactive site
Search using english specific content term followed by "interactive"
Refine your search using “;ppt” or other files extensions

Use your whiteboard for links to wikis, blogs, Moodle
Writing workshop – display electronically turned in work on the whiteboard for revision – flip flop the classes so the author remains anonymous
Classroom management – timers, shufflers, widgets

Voicethread - Students come up and record their reaction; VT saves so you can share beyond classroom.

Powerpoint idea –
Modeling annotation – using board specific software – add comments as callouts and students answer questions on the board – utilize save on the remote instead of printing – increased student accessibility (post it on your wiki or moodle)

Build lessons using various software – move beyond just posting notes

Thank you Aly for a great session!
